So yeah, here's the concept for my August journal design. If I could design any journal CSS without worrying about any coding, This is what it would look like. It's my entry to *ginkgografix's eCSSellence Contest, which is one of my only chances to get this thing coded properly. ^^;

I kept everything clean and simple, making sure not to have anything that would distract the reader from the content (heh, you DID read it!). It allows room for plenty of text and a bunch of thumbs. I'm pretty sure that the blur of the text to create a glow effect is possible through coding, though I'm not sure if the blur behind the glass effect is possible. The background is a stock from sxc.hu to which I made some color and levels adjustments.

Public or private... uhm... I'm going to go with public in order to make everyone happy. :D

The CSS for this journal is finally available for download. :lol: Since the re-coding of it apparently will never happen, I'm releasing the orgininal coding. I recommend that you host the background image on your own (free hosting sites such as imageshack.us and Photobucket are easy to use). When you host the background image, be sure to change the URL in line 8 of the CSS to point to the image that you have hosted. I'm going to also ask that you please leave my avatar in the bottom right and do not replace it with your own because without that, there is no credit to me for the design. So please be fair.

and YES, REMOVING MY AVATAR FUCKS UP THE JOURNAL. HAH. :evillaugh:
